Mission Statement

This one is simple: student government is big, and it moves slowly. We want to overall reduce inefficiencies and cut spending by the executive- just stick to the programs and ideas that matter- and make sure we can carry them out with a minimal expense.

Look, tuition is rising. Housing costs and dining costs are skyrocketing. We want to make sure that students are spending less of their money on programs and ideas that aren’t making efficient use of it.This means frugal spending and distribution by the Treasury Board, all with a mind to help you, the student, get the most out of your dollar (in a world where everybody wants you to blow it away!

In the Senate, we want to make sure that every student is given a fair opportunity to bring their idea on the floor- efficiency is the name of the game. Before an idea comes to the floor, it should be well researched, discussed, and perfected. Under Vice President Weatherwax, student senators and their constituents would be supported and helped through every step of the legislative process.

Last, we want to streamline the existing CUA websites. Many are clunky, have outdated information, or are just plain confusing. We want to index and organize all CUA websites with ideas on how to improve each one- that way, we can make your life as a student easier and faster. That means more time for your friends, your community, and your life!
