Mission Statement
Although this policy priority may seem abstract, it is one of the most critical to our mission of defining and elevating the culture at Catholic U. The school is a deeply diverse one; we are composed of 12 different schools for both undergraduates and graduates, and boast of a student body from as close by as DC itself or spanning the country and beyond. How do we go about unifying this group of people?
The answer is school pride. Through the public acknowledgement of the beauty of our history (whether through advertising, through talks, or through digital media), we can foster a greater sense of joy at the idea of being a Cardinal. We at Forge deeply love this school, and we want everyone who calls themselves a Cardinal to love it as much as we do.
Through events on campus that prioritize the promotion of friendship, unity, friendly competition, and of course, in unanimous support for our athletes, we want Catholic University to feel like a place where everyone is uplifted, edified, and supported. It is the goal of this policy priority to connect the far edges of campus- from Rome to Brookland- and to make all of us realize we’re part of a mission that is greater than ourselves.
